Brian Roden has been photographing landscapes and wildlife since
1990, and has provided portrait and wedding services since 1995. He is a member
of Professional Photographers of America, and currently servers as Executive
Director of the Arkansas Professional
Photographers Association and treasurer of the
Delta School of Professional Photography.
Brian has traveled extensively, with trips to Europe, southeast Asia, and Latin
America under his belt. (Pictures from Brian's foreign trips are in the
Fine Art gallery.)
Brian's wife, Diana, a native of Mexico, serves as his assistant
during portrait sessions, helping to arrange poses and keeping the children in
position. She also handles the majority of the marketing and coordination for
our Hispanic clients.
Brian and Diana have two daughters, Briana and Abby, who help their Papi
develop new set designs for infant and children's portraits by serving as
models during his test shoots.
Awards
"
Indomitable", a photo illustration of a bald eagle in front of stars and
stripes, was awarded First Place Illustrative - General Division at the Arkansas
Professional Photographers Association 2005 print competition. This photograph
also was recognized as "Best Photo of an Animal" at the 2005 convention. In
addition, it was selected for inclusion in the Professional Photographers of
America 2005 Showcase book.
"Wanna
Dance?" a black-and-white portrait of a western lowland gorilla, won First Place
Portrait - General Division at the APPA 2005 print competition.
